You are probably right.....what they COULD do is to at least put out the solo appearances of Shemp, Joe Besser and Joe Derita....who among us wouldn't like to see "Mr. Noisy" or "Slappily Married" on DVD???  That could be a start.

They are pretty interesting. I have bootleg copies of the Shemp, Besser and DeRita shorts. The quality isn't good but I'm still glad to have them.

That OH BABY short was very amusing, especially when he tells his neighbor (S.Boniface) that he's the father. Had not seen it before.

Do you have the Andy Clyde shorts and Glove Slingers shorts with Shemp or just the starring shorts?

Though not a Columbia short, it has quite a few familiar Columbia players in it:

Also a nice little overview of the Columbia shorts:

SAPPY BIRTHDAY was great. The scenes with Clyde unknowingly buying a cemetery plot were hilarious. Between this one and the 1953 short PARDON MY WRENCH, I've been awfully impressed by Clyde, who I had virtually no exposure to prior. LODGE NIGHT wasn't quite as good, but hey.

I didn't watch SAPPY BIRTHDAY yet, but I plan to soon.

I know Andy Clyde more from his silent days at Sennett.  He basically would dress up as anything, be it an old man, a hobo, a woman, whatever, and sometimes would play multiple roles in one short.

Harry Langdon - I Don't Remember (1935)

Sadly only the first 5 minutes, but better than nothing. Vernon Dent makes a brief appearance towards the end of the clip.

I put MR. NOISY (1946), a Shemp Howard solo, into this thread so it'll be easier to find in the future.

PART 1

PART 2

I saw 2 Reelers posted another Hugh Herbert/Dudley Dickerson short as well, so I'll post that one in this thread tonight.

This one may have been posted at this site previously; if so, I apologize.

Noted for the inclusion of a cameo featuring "The Pride Of Johnstown, PA", Emil Sitka.
