I agree, this and Hercules are the best DeRita features.
Curly Joe gets in some of his best bits and I like the  Chinese "Stooges".
Too bad Emil Sitka only gets a cameo.
The Japanese wrestler is played by real pro King Curtis.

I like all the DeRita features except "Snow White".
This is a good one-It gives us typical Stooge humor and a good takeoff on the popular
Hercules films of the 60s.
I agree that DeRita does nothing special, but is an improvement over Besser.

Not the worst Stooge short, but right up there with  Horsing Around,Fifi Blows her Top and Sweet and Hot.
However,Greta Thyssen is Major HUBBA HUBBA!!!!!!!

Yes, a pretty lame short, but I'm an Angela Stevens fan so I enjoyed her new scenes.
Shemp's yell and the "fake" Mary are good for a couple of chuckles.
Joe was much funnier when teamed with JIm Hawthorne.

Yes, this is a Fun Besser short. I wish he and Hawthorne made more shorts.
Angela Stevens was a Babe!!! Catch her in Spies and Guys-runing around in a Sexy One-Piece Bathing Suit! RUFF RUFF!!!!!

This is an average short, but I love Dick Curtis' overacting and "WHY YOU"!!!!!!!

A Good short, but not the best Besser short. I always like the bad Moe voiceover-Look fellas-a deserted cabin.

I'm a Hawthorne fan,too-and there's some additional fun material in the remake,"Hook a Crook".
Yes, for a slapdash teaming, he and Joe work great. I would have liked to see a Hawthorne-Besser series.

Poor Vernon Dent looks rough when he and Joe Palma appear as the IRS men.
He's very haggard and thin.
The scene when he chases the boys around the dinner table is funny, but also very sad-
knowing his condition.

I get a kick out of Christine's appearing and dissapearing during the Maja routine.
Obviously some bad editing.

The Guinn Williams short is called "The Champ's a Chump" Columbia (1936)

Anyone have a Guinn "Big Boy" Williams Columbia short with Louis Prima in it?
I believe it's from 1936.

I'm Neutral on Joe because sometimes he was okay, but mostly terrible.

Joe really gets it in Flying Saucer Daffy and winds up with Bek Nelson and Diana Darrin.

It's a pretty bad short. I enjoyed Joe's dance bits, especially with Polly Moran.
The Novel-Lites were one of those novelty trios that tried too hard to be funny.
Sort of a poor man's Hoosier HotShots(from Rockin' in the Rockies).

The Throbbing Cake-Those Bweep-Bwow!!! noises are hilarious. They used them a few more times in Our Gang.
I remember a scene when Spanky and Cotton emerge from a Lunch Counter with Huge Bellies and bump into
each other accompanied by a BWOW!!!!

I'm also very fond of the 2 Columbia shorts and 2 remakes Joe did with JIm Hawthorne.
They made a Great team.
If anyone hasn't reviewed them yet,I'll do a post.

I think the editors should have gotten an Oscar for all the Patchwork that went into this!!!
There's even a Female Joe Palma Doubling for Christine with her back to the Camera!!!

One of the Very Worst Stooge shorts. Wanda Dupre gets my vote as worst Stooge actress
and Phil VanZandt is pretty bad in this.
The flashback scenes are okay, but otherwise this gets a Golden Turkey Award.
"Oh,my Darling Fifi" !!!!!!!

Dudley also made some great scare comedies with Hugh Herbert and one with Andy Clyde, both at Columbia.
I love Moe's "2 Aerial" dance that beaks into a Hut-da-Ha routine.

Suzanne Ridgeway was quite an eyeful in her earlier appearances, but seems to have gotten very pasty and tough looking
by the later Shemps.
Check her out in the camp classic "From Hell it Came" as a Native Girl-Real Bad!!!!

She runs around in a Sexy One Piece Bathing Suit!!!
