THE DOUGHGIRLS (1944 WB) will be released to DVD by Warner Archive on December 1.  It's listed for pre-ordering at WA's site.  At this writing, Archive's retail partners (Amazon, Oldies.com, Movies Unlimited, etc.) have not yet added it to their sites.

Joe DeRita has a featured supporting role in the wartime comedy as a meek businessman adrift in an overbooked DC hotel, the 'wandering stranger' who passes thru several scenes looking for nothing more than a bed and some sleep.  Joe's character is featured in the film's ending fadeout, and was given the spotlight on one of its original lobby cards.
